In 2012, Mesa Lane Partners assembled and purchased this 2-acre, historic RV Park in Downtown Santa Barbara. With 35 improved spaces for recreational vehicles plus a small storage building with approximately 2,000 square feet of rentable storage space, the property is a unique investment opportunity in a rare asset class with strong demand. After closing on the property, our development team implemented a series of capital improvements to enhance its value, including installing individual water meters on each RV space to recoup utility expenses.
Mesa Lane Partners also converted part of the RV Park into a boutique Airstream hotel, which has welcomed over 5,000 individual guests and garnered numerous online, print, and television features, including a cover story in both Sunset Magazine and the Los Angeles Times. As a result of the strategic capital and operational improvements, annual income on the asset has increased by more than 35% since acquisition in 2012.
