If you are not familiar with the concept of a co-working office, a co-working office is an office space shared by a number of entrepreneurs, satellite employees, and freelancers. The concept first took off in large cities like New York where office rent is high and there are a number of young entrepreneurs.
By bringing the concept of co-working to Santa Barbara, Mesa Lane Partners is changing commercial real estate by making professional downtown office space affordable for everyone. Last August Mesa Lane Partner’s began leasing dedicated desk space and cafe desk space in a stunning, centrally located, downtown office space. Mesa Lane Partners strategically designed the open floor plan office to cultivate the community and encourage collaboration among the creative professionals and entrepreneurs working in the office. Suite B is a true community of creative entrepreneurs – it is home to many professionals from an array of business fields such as bookkeeping, marketing, and graphic design.
“With the monthly membership rate being so low and amenities such as internet, spacious outdoor work space, and a full kitchen; securing a desk space in Suite B was a no brainer”, says one Suite B member.
Given the success of Suite B since its launch in 2014, Mesa Lane Partners is considering investing to bring the same co-working concept to other locations throughout the country.
